Senior Accountant
Our client, a well-established and growing general practice accountancy firm, is looking to add an Accounts Senior to their team. The firm offers a full range of accounting, tax, and advisory services to a broad client base, from owner-managed businesses through to larger corporates, partnerships, and individuals across a wide mix of sectors, and this role offers a clear route to progress further within the practice.
You'll take ownership of a varied client portfolio spanning limited companies, partnerships, sole traders, and personal tax clients, managing deadlines and helping the wider team prioritize effectively. Day to day, this includes:

- Preparing and reviewing statutory accounts under FRS 102 and IFRS
- Management accounts
- Bookkeeping
- VAT and corporation tax returns
- Self-assessment tax returns
You'll also deliver tailored business advice on tax planning, financial strategy, growth, and restructuring, build strong client relationships as a trusted point of contact, support the development of junior team members, and help keep the firm ahead on accounting technology and internal process improvements.
Qualifications and Experience:
- ACA or ACCA qualified
- Solid, broad-based practice experience across accounts and tax
- Ideally around two years' post-qualification experience
- Strong grasp of UK accounting standards, tax regulations, and compliance
- Confident, client-focused communicator
- Ambitious, this role is built for someone who wants to progress quickly as the firm continues to grow
