Position: Senior Accountant

Reports to: Head of Finance

Location: London

MillTech is authorized and regulated by the UK’s Financial Conduct Authority (FCA FRN 911636) and registered with the USA’s National Futures Association (NFA).

Your responsibilities in this role will include:

  • Maintain accounting records including invoices, expenses, payments, and transactions
  • Manage core ledgers and processing transactions
  • Maintain sales invoices and reports
  • Ensure all bills and expenses are posted and accounted for
  • Report on accounts payable and receivable and follow up on payments and collections
  • Prepare computations of accruals and prepayments
  • Complete VAT and other statutory reports
  • Ensure capital assets are correctly recorded, valued, depreciated, and reported
  • Support auditors with their enquiries
  • Perform bank and cash reconciliations and cash reporting
  • Deputise for the Financial Manager when required
  • Assist in report preparation including management accounts
  • Collaborate closely with colleagues and third parties and support other teams with finance matters, explaining technical matters clearly
  • Support other departments in an operational finance capacity

Required skills:

  • Oracle NetSuite experience is a MUST HAVE.
  • Excel expert
  • Accounting experience for a minimum of FOUR years essential.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills essential
  • High attention to detail and excellent accuracy
  • Effective communicator, with the ability to work closely with colleagues
  • Self-motivated with good time management skills
  • High levels of integrity and the ability to act confidentially
  • Experience in a fast-moving, high-growth company

Nice to have:

  • Experience with Planful, Concord, or AP/AR management tools
  • Audit experience
  • Experience with software implementation projects
  • Familiar with foreign exchange (spot trades and forwards)
  • Professional accounting qualification, either completed or in progress
