An independent accountancy firm is seeking a Senior Accountant
The ideal candidate will be ACA/ACCA qualified with extensive, all round accountancy experience gained within a UK accountancy practice.
About the Role
The role will entail taking responsibility for a varied client portfolio of OMBs with minimal supervision, managing the relationships with clients in a highly professional manner and being the first point of contact for client queries.
Whilst advertised as a Senior Accountant role, this is essentially a Client Manager position.
Responsibilities
As Senior Accountant managing a portfolio of clients, your responsibilities will include:
- Preparation and filing of limited company accounts in to accounting standards
- Reviewing and signing off work completed by other team members
- Preparation and filing corporation and personal tax returns, and VAT
- Leading client meetings and providing commercially focused advice
- Managing assignments from planning through to completion
- Supporting and actively assisting in the development of junior team members
- Maintaining strong client relationships and ensuring deadlines are met
- Working closely with the partners and wider management team

Requirements
Please do apply for this role if you satisfy the following criteria:
- Be ACA or ACCA qualified
- Have substantial post qualified experience gained within a UK accountancy practice
- Thrive on working independently whilst maintaining strong collaboration and team working
- Experienced in reviewing and signing off accounts
- Be commercially aware and confident with providing business advisory services
- Have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and the confidence to lead client meetings
- Have the desire and ability to nurture and support less experienced team members
