About The Role
This modern Coventry-based practice is seeking a Senior Accountant to join their dynamic team. The ideal candidate will enjoy working on varied client portfolios, building strong relationships, and providing valuable financial insights that help businesses make informed decisions. Qualifications
The successful candidate will be a qualified accountant, holding ACCA, ACA, ICAEW, or an equivalent qualification. Applications from individuals with QBE (Qualified By Experience) and prior experience in an accountancy practice will also be considered. Candidates should demonstrate strong technical knowledge and stay current with evolving compliance standards. Proficiency in accounting software such as Xero, QuickBooks, Sage, or TaxCalc, along with advanced Excel skills, is essential. The ideal applicant will possess solutions-focused thinking, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
Responsibilities
- Preparing and reviewing statutory and management accounts for a diverse range of clients.
- Overseeing the preparation of self-assessment, corporation tax, and partnership tax returns to ensure accuracy and compliance.
- Supporting clients with tax planning strategies, including dividend and interest planning calculations.
- Providing tailored financial advice to support clients' business objectives and growth initiatives.
- Guiding and mentoring junior colleagues, fostering their technical development and professional growth.
- Maintaining up-to-date knowledge of regulatory changes and ensuring all work complies with current standards.
- Building and maintaining strong client relationships through effective communication and service delivery.
