Senior Accountant
Location: Midlands (Hybrid/Flexible Working)

The Opportunity
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an ambitious Senior Accountant to join a growing and forward-thinking professional services firm. Working within a collaborative team, you'll manage your own portfolio of clients, provide commercially focused financial advice and support businesses at every stage of their growth journey.
This role offers genuine autonomy, exposure to a diverse client base, and clear opportunities for career progression within a modern advisory-led practice.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and develop a portfolio of SME and owner-managed business clients.
- Prepare and review statutory accounts, management accounts, and financial reports.
- Deliver tax compliance services including Corporation Tax, Self-Assessment, VAT, and CIS.
- Provide clients with proactive financial advice and strategic business support.
- Build trusted, long-term relationships through regular client contact and review meetings.
- Identify opportunities to introduce additional advisory services and support business growth.
- Mentor, coach, and review the work of junior accountants and trainees.
- Ensure assignments are completed accurately, efficiently, and within agreed deadlines.
- Contribute to business development and support the continued growth of the practice.

About You
You'll be a confident, commercially minded accountant who enjoys building client relationships and delivering exceptional service.
Ideally you'll have:
- ACA or ACCA qualification (or be qualified by experience).
- Previous experience within an accountancy practice.
- Experience managing a portfolio of clients independently.
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
- A proactive, solutions-focused approach.
- Experience mentoring or supervising junior team members.
- Excellent organisational and time management skills.
