Job Description
Title: Senior Accountant / Financial Accountant
Location: Edinburgh
Type: Permanent

As a Senior Accountant, you will play a key role in managing management accounting functions, delivering accurate financial reporting, and supporting strategic initiatives. You will need to bring proven management accounting experience, strong involvement with P&L ownership, and hands-on expertise with month-end closing procedures, corporate reporting packs, and manufacturing finance. Your background in pharma or manufacturing, coupled with advanced Excel skills and familiarity with US GAAP reporting, will set you apart. Effective cross-team collaboration, analytical proficiency, and an ownership mindset are essential for success in this high-pressure environment.

Ideal candidates will be qualified accountants (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent) with significant experience in similar roles. Experience supporting US-headquartered organizations, financial controls, and process improvements will be advantageous. A track record of working in regulated industries and familiarity with Power BI or automation tools will further distinguish applicants.
