Accounts Senior
Location: Lancaster
Salary: £35,000 – £42,000+ DOE
Are you an experienced Accounts Senior seeking a hands-on, varied practice role within a highly supportive Chartered firm that truly values work-life balance?
The Opportunity
In this engaging role, you will take ownership of statutory accounting and tax compliance for a diverse client portfolio ranging from sole traders and partnerships to high-turnover limited companies. Key Responsibilities & Requirements
Experience & Qualifications: Minimum 3+ years’ UK accountancy practice experience (essential). AAT qualified (or above), ACCA/ACA part-qualified, or Qualified by Experience (QBE).

Technical Accounting & Tax: Proven track record in preparing statutory financial statements, bookkeeping, VAT returns, corporation tax computations, and self-assessment tax returns.
Software Proficiency: Hands-on experience with modern cloud accounting software (e.g., Xero, Sage, or CCH) alongside MS Excel.
Organisation & Approach: Excellent attention to detail, strong time-management skills, and the confidence to handle a varied workload while meeting key compliance deadlines.
Package & Benefits
Base Salary & Bonus: £35,000 – £42,000 per annum (dependent on experience, aligned with North West / Lancashire practice rates) plus a performance-based bonus scheme.
