SENIOR FINANCIAL ACCOUNTANT - 12mth FTC
🎯 Essential experience: Financial Reporting + Financial Services (Insurance adv.)
📍 Location: London (Hybrid, 2-3 days in office)
🗓️ Contract: 12-month Fixed Term Contract
💷 £65,000 – £80,000 + bonus, pension & benefits
Pear Talent is representing an international insurance business with an excellent opportunity for a Senior Financial Accountant on a 12-month fixed-term contract.
You’ll gain exposure to financial, management and regulatory reporting, working closely with specialist teams across Finance, Investments, Actuarial and FP&A. This is a hands-on opportunity to build your financial reporting experience and contribute across a varied Finance remit.

The opportunity
- Support monthly, quarterly and annual financial reporting.
- Prepare journals, balance sheet reconciliations and supporting schedules.
- Analyse financial results and explain key movements and variances.
- Support external audit and maintain effective financial controls.
- Contribute to improvements in Finance processes and reporting.
About you
- Qualified accountant — ACA, ACCA or equivalent, typically qualified up to 3 years’ PQE.
- Experience in accounting, financial reporting or audit, ideally within financial services. Insurance advantageous, not essential.
- Strong Excel skills, attention to detail and the ability to manage reporting deadlines.
- A proactive, collaborative approach and confidence learning new systems.
