Role Description
The Senior Accountant role is a full-time, on-site position located in Pentre. The Senior Accountant will manage a portfolio of clients, preparing and reviewing statutory accounts, management accounts, and tax computations, ensuring accuracy and compliance with relevant regulations.

This role will involve:


Get help with your application

- Overseeing bookkeeping and VAT returns
- Supporting year-end processes
- Identifying opportunities for tax efficiency and cost reduction
- Providing proactive advisory support to clients on financial planning, cash flow management, and strategies to enhance profitability and business growth
Day-to-day responsibilities include:
- Supervising junior team members
- Maintaining strong client relationships
- Contributing to continuous improvements in firm processes and service delivery
Qualifications
- Professional accounting qualification (ACCA, ACA, or equivalent) and significant experience in practice-based accountancy.
- Strong technical skills in financial reporting, tax compliance, and regulatory requirements for SMEs and owner-managed businesses.
- Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office tools, with the ability to interpret and present financial data clearly.
- Demonstrated experience in client advisory work, including budgeting, forecasting, cash flow management, and growth planning.
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and time-management abilities, with a focus on accuracy and meeting deadlines.
- Effective communication and relationship-building skills, with the ability to explain complex financial matters in accessible terms.
- Experience mentoring or supervising junior colleagues and contributing to a collaborative team environment.
- Knowledge of UK accounting and tax frameworks relevant to businesses in North Wales and surrounding regions.
- Ability to work on-site in Pentre and engage with clients in person as required.
