Senior Accountant / Client Manager £45,000 - £60,000 + Benefits Leeds | Hybrid Working | Clear Progression to Senior Leadership
We're recruiting for a highly regarded independent accountancy practice in Leeds that's looking to add an experienced Senior Accountant / Client Manager to its growing team.
This is an excellent opportunity for an ACA or ACCA qualified practice accountant who enjoys building client relationships, delivering advisory support, and mentoring junior team members. You'll manage your own portfolio of SME clients while playing a key role in the firm's continued growth and success.
The Role
As a trusted adviser to your clients, you'll:
- Manage a portfolio of SME and owner-managed business clients
- Prepare and review statutory accounts and corporation tax returns
- Produce and review management accounts
- Provide proactive business and financial advice
- Lead client meetings and present financial information clearly
- Review work completed by junior team members
- Coach and develop trainees and junior staff
- Identify opportunities to add value across your client portfolio
- Support partners with practice growth and business development initiatives

About You
We're looking for someone with:
- ACA or ACCA qualification
- 4+ years' UK accountancy practice experience
- Experience managing a client portfolio
- Strong technical knowledge of accounts and tax compliance
- Excellent client relationship and communication skills
- A commercial, proactive approach to problem-solving
Experience with Xero, Sage, QuickBooks, IRIS or other cloud accounting software would be advantageous.
