LemFi (Series B) is building the go-to financial app for the Global South.
Moving to a new country shouldn’t mean starting from zero. That's why our team of 400+ spanning 20+ countries is building a financial ecosystem that helps immigrants stay connected to home, build stability, and create wealth regardless of where they are from or where they live.
What began as fast, affordable remittances is now evolving into a complete platform for multi-currency accounts, payments, credit, and long-term financial growth.
With millions of users across the globe, we process over $1B in monthly transactions to 30+ countries, proving that borders shouldn't limit financial opportunity.
About the role
LemFi's finance function is being built for scale while the company grows fast across the globe. As a Senior Accountant reporting to the Head of Finance, you'll help lay the foundations: scalable accounting processes, stronger financial controls, and reporting that lands accurately and on time across every entity.
This is a hands-on role for someone who likes building in a fast-moving fintech. You'll pair real technical accounting depth with a practical, problem-solving instinct, working across teams and with external partners to build a finance operation that is lean, reliable, and ready to scale.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

What you'll build and own
- Build scalable accounting and financial control processes that keep up with LemFi's growth, not ones you'll outgrow in a quarter.
- Own the month-end close for your entities and deliver accurate management accounts on time, every time.
- Prepare entity-level financial statements in line with applicable GAAP, and get every filing in on schedule.
- Run point on audits. Work directly with external auditors, tax advisors and financial partners to keep them clean.
- Strengthen internal controls, reporting systems and documentation so compliance and efficiency move together.
- Partner with the data team to turn financial reporting into real visibility, using tools like Tableau and Looker.
- Work across finance, data and business teams to line up accounting outputs with FP&A and what the business actually needs.
Your experience
- Relevant accounting experience, ideally in a fast-growth business: fintech, tech, or somewhere similarly dynamic.
- ACA, ACCA, ICAEW, or an equivalent accounting qualification.
- You've prepared statutory and non-statutory financial statements as well as monthly management accounts.
- You've supported or led audits and worked directly with external auditors and financial partners.
- A strong grip on accounting standards and financial controls, and the judgement to apply them in practice.
- Confident working with financial data and building reporting processes that scale.
- Proactive and organised. You find issues, dig into the root cause, and resolve them with minimal oversight.
