Senior Accountant Newcastle upon Tyne
On-site | Full-Time | Competitive Salary
An established and growing accountancy practice in the North East is seeking an experienced Senior Accountant to join its team based in Newcastle upon Tyne.
This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified accountant looking to manage a varied portfolio of clients while playing a key role in mentoring junior staff and supporting business growth.
The Role
You will work closely with a diverse range of small and medium-sized businesses, delivering high-quality accounting, tax, and advisory services.

- Preparation and review of statutory year-end accounts
- Managing Corporation Tax, VAT, and Self-Assessment compliance
- Producing management accounts, budgets, and forecasts
- Providing financial analysis and business performance insights
- Supporting client decision-making through clear financial reporting
- Mentoring and reviewing work of junior team members
- Contributing to internal process improvements
About You
- ACCA / ACA / CIMA qualified (or finalist)
- Previous experience within an accountancy practice preferred
- Strong technical knowledge of UK accounting and tax regulations
- Confident in client-facing environments
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
- Experience with accounting software
- Highly organised with strong analytical skills
- Ability to manage multiple deadlines effectively
