Senior Accountant
Location: Harrogate, North Yorkshire
Salary: Up to £38,000 - £42,000 (flexible DOE)
Job Type: Full-Time, Permanent
We're recruiting on behalf of a well-established and growing accountancy practice with multiple offices across the region. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Accountant to join a supportive and progressive firm offering genuine career development and exposure to a varied client portfolio.
The Role
You'll manage your own portfolio of clients, providing a high-quality service across accounts, tax and advisory work while supporting the development of junior team members.

- Managing a portfolio of owner-managed business clients.
- Preparing and reviewing statutory accounts and management accounts.
- Preparing and reviewing personal tax returns, partnership accounts and VAT returns.
- Liaising directly with clients, business owners and directors.
- Supporting and mentoring junior members of the team.
- Assisting with advisory work, forecasts and business projections where required.
About You
We're looking for someone who is:
- ACA or ACCA qualified (or a finalist with strong practice experience).
- Experienced within an accountancy practice, ideally at Senior Accountant or Assistant Manager level.
- Confident managing their own client portfolio.
- Proactive, organised and client-focused.
- Familiar with accounting software such as IRIS, Sage, Xero or QuickBooks.
