We're looking for an experienced Senior Accountant / Client Manager to join our team.
This isn't simply an accounts preparation role. You'll have responsibility for your own portfolio of clients, build long-term relationships with them and become someone they know they can rely on.
What you'll be doing...
You'll manage your own client portfolio and serve as one of their main point of contact.
Your role will include:
- Managing client relationships and responding to queries independently
- Preparing and reviewing year-end accounts
- Preparing and reviewing corporation tax and personal tax work
- Managing deadlines across your client portfolio
- Reviewing work and delegating to other members of the team where appropriate
- Supporting and developing junior colleagues
- Identifying opportunities to help clients and improve the service we provide
- Keeping up to date with relevant accounting and tax developments
- Maintaining the high standards of accuracy and client service we expect at Ellacott Morris

Who we are looking for...
We're looking for someone with strong experience working in an accountancy practice and who is comfortable taking responsibility for their own clients.
You'll have:
- At least 5 years' experience within an accountancy practice
- ACA, ACCA or equivalent
- Strong accounts and tax experience
- Experience reviewing accounts and tax work
- Confidence dealing directly with clients and handling queries without needing constant supervision
- Excellent organisation and deadline-management skills
- A proactive approach and strong attention to detail
- The ability to build genuine, long-term relationships with clients
- A willingness to support other members of the team
