Location: Central London (Hybrid)
Salary: £40,000 - £45,000 per annum
Working Pattern: Hybrid (2 Days Office | 3 Days Home)

Knightwell Recruitment is delighted to be partnering with a modern, ambitious and rapidly growing Accountancy Practice to recruit an experienced Senior Accountant / Client Manager.
This is an excellent opportunity for an ACA or ACCA Qualified Accountant looking to join a progressive firm with genuine long-term career prospects, hybrid working from day one and exposure to a varied portfolio of SME clients.
The successful candidate will report directly to the Practice Manager and take ownership of an established portfolio of clients with turnovers of up to £10 million, providing high-quality accounting, taxation and advisory services.
The firm operates across three UK offices, supported by a team of 20+ UK-based professionals and 20+ offshore staff, offering an excellent platform for career progression.
The Role
Reporting to the Practice Manager, you'll be responsible for managing your own portfolio of SME clients whilst delivering a high standard of technical and commercial advice.

You'll become a trusted adviser to your clients and play an important role in supporting the continued growth of the practice.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage an established portfolio of SME clients with turnovers up to £10 million.
- Prepare and review statutory accounts under FRS 102 and FRS 105.
- Prepare and review Corporation Tax and Personal Tax returns.
- Prepare management accounts and VAT returns.
- Advise clients on Directors' Loan Accounts and Loss Relief.
- Review work completed by junior members of the team.
- Build long-term client relationships and act as the primary point of contact.
- Support the Practice Manager with workflow planning and client delivery.
- Ensure work is completed accurately and within deadlines.
About You
To be considered for this opportunity you should have:
- ACA or ACCA Qualified with full membership (essential).
- Recent UK Accountancy Practice experience.
- Previous experience managing your own portfolio of SME clients.
- Strong technical knowledge of:
- FRS 102
- Corporation Tax
- Personal Tax
- VAT
- VAT Schemes
- Directors' Loan Accounts
- Loss Relief
- Management Accounts
- Statutory Accounts
- Excellent communication and client relationship management skills.
- A proactive, commercially aware and personable approach.
- The ability to manage multiple client deadlines in a fast-paced practice environment.
- Immediate starters or candidates with short notice periods are highly desirable.
