About Profiter CPA Group

Profiter CPA Group is a U.S.-based CPA firm with over 25 years of experience providing accounting, bookkeeping, payroll, tax planning, tax preparation, and advisory services to healthcare practices and small businesses across the United States.

We are looking for an experienced Senior Accountant to join our growing team. This role is ideal for someone with strong accounting fundamentals, completed articleship, excellent English communication skills, and a passion for delivering high-quality accounting services to U.S.-based clients.

This is a fully remote position; however, applicants must currently reside in Karachi, Pakistan.

Responsibilities

  • Manage bookkeeping and accounting for multiple U.S.-based clients.
  • Prepare and review journal entries and maintain the general ledger.
  • Perform bank and credit card reconciliations.
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
  • Assist with month-end and year-end closing processes.
  • Analyze financial statements and identify discrepancies.
  • Support payroll accounting and related reconciliations.
  • Assist with business and individual tax preparation.
  • Maintain accurate accounting records in QuickBooks Online.
  • Work closely with CPAs and senior management on client engagements.
  • Communicate professionally with U.S.-based clients.
  • Utilize cloud-based accounting software and AI tools to improve productivity and efficiency.

Qualifications

  • Articleship completed (ICAP, ACCA, or equivalent public accounting training).
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Minimum 2-4 years of accounting experience, preferably in a Chartered Accountancy firm or CPA firm.
  • Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP, financial reporting, and general ledger accounting.
  • Proficiency in account reconciliations, month-end and year-end closing processes.
  • Experience with bookkeeping, budgeting, and cash flow management.
  • Experience with QuickBooks Online is preferred.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including Pivot Tables, XLOOKUP, INDEX-MATCH, IF functions, and data analysis.
  • Excellent written and spoken English.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail.
  • Ability to quickly learn new accounting software and AI productivity tools.
  • Prior experience working with multiple small business clients is an advantage.
  • Must currently reside in Karachi, Pakistan.
