Description
MDD, a Davies Company is a specialised forensic accounting firm offering business valuations, forensic investigations and litigation support services. With more than 40 offices on 5 continents, our forensic accountants specialise in a wide range of practice areas.
Our assignments consist of disputes in commercial litigation, family law, fraud, business valuations, business disputes, natural and man-made catastrophes, lost profits, and insurance. Our partners and senior staff regularly provide extensive litigation services and expert witness testimony in courts, arbitrations and mediations throughout the world.
The German market is a real area of growth for MDD and as such, we are seeking an experienced German-speaking Senior Accountant to join our team.

- Preliminary to intermediate analysis of sales, production and other accounting data
- Physical inventory observation, price testing
- Examination of source documents pertinent to engagement
- Checking and proofing reports and schedules
- Conduct phone or in person interviews to obtain information
- Prepare preliminary draft of report narrative and schedules
- Analyze and reconcile claim to final calculation
- Perform certain field review related tasks without direct supervision
- Develop preliminary assignment program
- Research
- Data analysis and evaluation
- Invoice analysis
- Attend marketing events and functions with clients
Skills, Knowledge & Expertise
- Bachelors or Masters degree in Accounting or finance, or work experience equivalent
- Working towards ACA, ACCA, CIMA etc
- Several years Accounting experience, ideally in a public accounting (consulting) environment
- Working proficiency in German
- Experience of forensic accounting highly advantageous
- Strong stakeholder engagement, relationship management and conflict resolution skills
- Independent worker but with team spirit; happy to help who and where, as needed
- Comfortable working towards tight SLAs
- Experience or knowledge of how 'loss' impacts a business, beneficial
