About the Role
This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced accountant to step into a highly visible senior role where your focus will be on reviewing, challenging and improving financial reporting quality rather than simply producing accounts. You'll work closely with both clients and junior team members, taking ownership of complex statutory reporting, consolidations and technical accounting matters.
Client Details
Our client is a well-established and fast-growing accountancy and advisory firm that provides a broad range of services to owner-managed businesses, SMEs and corporate groups. With a reputation for delivering high-quality advice and building long-term client relationships, the firm continues to invest in experienced professionals who can help drive technical excellence and support the development of junior talent.
This role sits within a growing team and offers exposure to a wide variety of clients, from entrepreneurial businesses through to larger group structures requiring consolidated reporting. It is an excellent opportunity for a technically strong accountant who wants to play a greater role in review, oversight and team development.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
