Our Settlement Reconciliations & Accounting function

Our Settlement Reconciliations & Accounting function are primarily responsible for the reconciliation of high-volume merchant and card scheme processing and the reconciliation of domestic and international bank accounts.

What you’ll own

This is an excellent opportunity for a newly qualified or recently qualified accountant looking to build on strong technical accounting experience within a dynamic and fast-paced environment. You will play a key role in maintaining the integrity of financial records, supporting reporting activities, and driving process improvements across the business.

  • Prepare and review general ledger reconciliations and accounting entries.
  • Support month-end, quarter-end and year-end close activities.
  • Ensure the accuracy and completeness of financial records and reporting.
  • Investigate and resolve accounting discrepancies and reconciliation issues.
  • Produce financial analysis and reporting to support business decision-making.
  • Partner with Finance and non-Finance stakeholders across the organisation.
  • Assist with audit requests and compliance requirements.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and enhanced financial controls.
  • Support projects relating to financial systems, reporting and transformation initiatives.
  • Prepare and present financial information clearly to stakeholders at all levels

What you’ll bring

  • ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualified, or newly qualified with relevant accounting experience.
  • Strong general ledger accounting knowledge and experience.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving and organisational skills.
  • Ability to work independently, manage priorities and meet tight deadlines.
  • Strong attention to detail and a proactive approach to issue resolution.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Confidence communicating with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Strong team player with the ability to build effective working relationships.
  • Advanced Excel skills and experience using accounting and reconciliation systems.
  • Ability to identify risks, escalate issues appropriately and deliver high-quality results.

It’s a bonus if you have

  • Experience of large-scale transaction processing
  • Experience in continuous process improvements and/or IT systems change
  • Experience using Oracle Cloud and ARCS
