A client of ours in the Bury St Edmunds area are recruiting a Part-Time Senior Accountant to join their team. This is a temporary-permanent, fully remote position working 20-25 hours per week and paying up to £23.08 per hour depending on experience.
Your key duties in this Senior Accountant role will include but are not limited to:
- Preparing statutory accounts and corporation tax returns for SME clients
- Preparing monthly and quarterly management accounts and reporting packs
- Preparing sole trader accounts and self-assessment tax returns
- Reviewing balance sheet reconciliations, fixed assets and loan/HP accounts
- Providing technical accounting and bookkeeping support to the wider team
- Managing a portfolio of clients and building strong, long-term relationships
- Acting as a key point of contact for clients, providing accounting advice and answering queries
- Supporting clients with their wider business needs and helping them understand their financial information

Skills and Experience required to be considered for this role:
- At least 3 years' experience preparing statutory accounts, CT600s and SA100s within a UK accountancy practice
- ACCA, ACA, AAT Level 4 qualified or qualified by experience
- Strong technical accounting knowledge and excellent attention to detail
- Confident communicator with strong client relationship management skills
- Experience using Xero and Excel; TaxCalc and Fathom experience would be advantageous
- Self-motivated and able to manage your own workload independently in a fully remote environment
