A well-established and highly respected accountancy practice in Wolverhampton is looking to appoint a Senior Client Accountant to join its growing team. This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious individual seeking a long-term career within a supportive and professional practice.

The Role

As a Senior Client Accountant, you will manage a varied portfolio of clients, taking responsibility for preparing and reviewing year-end accounts while providing outstanding service and technical support.

Your responsibilities will include

  • Preparing year-end accounts for a portfolio of SME clients, limited companies, and partnerships.
  • Managing client relationships and acting as a trusted point of contact.
  • Reviewing financial information and ensuring compliance with current accounting standards.
  • Supporting and mentoring junior members of the team, helping to develop their technical knowledge and confidence.
  • Liaising with clients to resolve queries and provide practical accounting advice.
  • Working closely with Partners and senior management to ensure deadlines are met and clients receive an exceptional service.

About You

To be successful in this role you will:

  • Have previous experience working within an accountancy practice (essential).
  • Hold an AAT qualification, be ACCA qualified, part-qualified, or qualified by experience.
  • Have experience preparing year-end accounts for SMEs, limited companies, and partnerships.
  • Possess excellent communication and client relationship skills.
  • Enjoy mentoring and supporting junior colleagues.
