Title: Senior Accounting Analyst
Location: Dunstable (Hybrid Working)

As we continue to grow, we're looking for a Senior Accounting Analyst to join our team and play a key role in delivering accurate, timely and insightful financial reporting.
This is an excellent opportunity for a part-qualified accountant looking to develop their technical accounting expertise while partnering with stakeholders across the business and supporting continuous improvement initiatives.
What you'll be doing
As a Senior Accounting Analyst, you'll be responsible for managing complex areas of the accounting and reporting process, ensuring robust financial control and high-quality financial information.

What you'll do
- Driving month-end activities to ensure accurate and timely reporting of key P&L areas.
- Preparing and reviewing complex month-end journals.
- Providing detailed variance analysis and insightful commentary to stakeholders.
- Supporting month-end reviews with a strong understanding of operational performance.
- Ensuring compliance with Whitbread's Financial Control Framework.
- Completing and reviewing balance sheet reconciliations, identifying risks and resolving reconciling items.
- Supporting internal and external audit requirements.

What you'll need
- Part-qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA or CIMA).
- Strong understanding of key financial processes, including:
- Month-end reporting
- Budgeting and forecasting
- Year-end activities
- Balance sheet reconciliations
- Financial controls
- Previous experience in month-end reporting and financial control environments.
- Strong Excel and systems skills.
- Experience building relationships and influencing stakeholders at different levels of the business.
