Senior Manager: Accounting – Independent Accountancy Practice
Finchley, London (Hybrid)
Up to £85,000 DOE
Butler Rose Public Practice is delighted to be supporting a partner-led accountancy firm providing audit, tax, transaction and advisory services to entrepreneurial and owner-managed businesses.
We are seeking an experienced Senior Accounts Manager to manage a portfolio of SME and owner-managed business clients, with responsibility for client relationships, technical review, team management, workflow coordination, corporation tax compliance and billing. Reporting directly to the Partners, this is a senior practice role offering greater responsibility and direct Partner exposure.
The Role
- Manage a portfolio of SME and owner-managed clients, acting as the main point of contact.
- Review statutory accounts and corporation tax returns, resolving technical accounting and tax matters where required.
- Supervise, mentor and develop junior team members while coordinating workflow and ensuring assignments are delivered on time.
- Monitor WIP and recoverability and oversee billing.
- Support the Partners in maintaining excellent client service standards.

Candidate Requirements
- ACA or ACCA qualified.
- Strong UK practice background.
- Proven management experience, including staff supervision and workflow management.
- Experience reviewing statutory accounts and corporation tax computations.
- Commercially minded with strong client-facing, organisational and communication skills.

- Salary up to £85,000 depending on experience.
