Meraki Talent are exclusively supporting with the appointment of a permanent Senior Accounts Assistant based in the Inverclyde area paying up to £32k within a renowned business offering strong mentorship, exposure, and a clear progression path.

The Opportunity

Reporting directly to the Financial Controller, the successful candidate will play a key role in supporting the production of monthly management accounts whilst contributing to the day-to-day finance function. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to broaden their accounting experience and gain exposure across a wide range of financial processes.

Key Duties

  • Assisting with the preparation of monthly management accounts and reporting packs.
  • Processing month-end journals including payroll, accruals, and prepayments.
  • Intercompany charges and reconciliations.
  • Debits and credits.
  • Balance sheet and bank reconciliations.
  • Supporting the annual external audit process.
  • Preparing and submitting quarterly VAT returns.
  • Maintaining the Fixed Asset Register.
  • Supporting departmental budgeting and annual budget preparation.
  • Assisting Accounts Payable and Payroll activities when required.
