Pineapple Recruitment is partnered with a commercially focused and growing group based in Hereford to recruit a Senior Accounts Assistant.

In this newly created role, you will work closely with the Finance Manager, taking ownership of day-to-day transactional processing, month-end reconciliations, and supporting the delivery of accurate management accounts.

Key Responsibilities

• Ledger Management & Processing: Oversee purchase and sales ledgers, utilising cloud accounting software to check VAT treatment, code invoices, and complete regular supplier statement reconciliations.
• Month-End & Reconciliations: Prepare key balance sheet reconciliations (including stock adjustments, prepayments, accruals, and deferred income), maintain intercompany accounts, and complete regular bank reconciliations.
• Payment Runs & Expenses: Oversee business credit card statements and staff expense claims, preparing routine supplier payment runs for senior approval.
• Sub-Contractor Coordination: Coordinate and process monthly sub-contractor timesheets and payments.
• Reporting & Compliance: Assist the Finance Manager with monthly VAT checking, sales data summaries, and gathering information for month-end management packs.
• Stakeholder Support: Act as a main point of contact for external suppliers, customers, and internal operational teams to resolve account queries promptly.
