Wallace White is entering an exciting phase of growth, creating a fantastic opportunity for an ambitious Accounts Manager or Senior Manager to join a highly respected independent firm in Glasgow.
For an experienced practice professional looking for greater client exposure and more influence internally, this role offers the chance to step into a visible leadership position within a growing and entrepreneurial environment.

The Opportunity
As part of the Accounts & Business Advisory team, you will take ownership of a varied and interesting client portfolio, acting as a trusted adviser to entrepreneurial businesses across sectors including construction, hospitality, healthcare, recruitment and professional services.

You will have the autonomy to manage client relationships directly, whilst also working closely with senior leadership on wider strategic and advisory matters.
Key responsibilities will include
- Managing a portfolio of owner-managed business clients and acting as their primary point of contact
- Reviewing statutory accounts, VAT returns and management reporting work prepared by the wider team
- Supporting clients with both corporate and personal tax matters alongside internal specialists
- Delivering proactive commercial advice and building long-term client relationships
- Supervising, mentoring and developing junior members of the team
- Managing workflow across multiple assignments to ensure consistently high service delivery
- Supporting the Partners in driving an advisory-led approach and contributing to the firm’s continued growth
What Wallace White is looking for
- ACA / ACCA qualified or equivalent
- Strong accountancy practice experience, ideally within a client-facing managerial role
- Experience managing or reviewing the work of junior staff
- Confident communicator with the ability to build credibility with business owners and senior stakeholders
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple client engagements effectively
- Commercially minded, proactive and motivated, with the ambition to progress your career within a growing firm
