Senior Accounts Payable | Financial Services Firm | 6 month FTC | £60-75k pro rata | 4 days a week in office and Friday wfh

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Accounts Payable professional to join a growing organisation and play a key role in the development of its AP function.

This is a broad role requiring strong end-to-end Accounts Payable experience alongside the ability to take ownership of processes, controls, systems and stakeholder relationships.

The business is continuing to grow, so the successful candidate will have the opportunity to help improve, develop and scale the AP function rather than simply inherit a purely transactional processing role.

Key Responsibilities

  • Take ownership of the end-to-end Accounts Payable lifecycle.
  • Oversee invoice processing, payments, reconciliations and resolution of outstanding issues.
  • Review current processes and identify opportunities for improvement and automation.
  • Help develop and scale AP processes as the organisation grows.
  • Maintain robust controls and ensure AP procedures are appropriately documented.
  • Produce and improve AP reporting.
  • Work closely with Finance and wider business stakeholders.
  • Support the implementation and effective use of AP systems (SAP) and technology.
  • Drive best practice and operational improvements across Accounts Payable.
  • Support or supervise junior team members as the function develops.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Experience within a business involved in the buying and selling of physical goods would be highly desirable. Candidates from a commodities trading or VMI environment would also be particularly relevant. Previous use of SAP would also be highly advantageous.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced AP professional looking to take broader ownership and help shape a growing Accounts Payable function.
