An established multidisciplinary environmental and engineering consultancy is seeking a Senior Environmental Noise Consultant to join its growing Acoustics team. Renowned for delivering innovative solutions across major infrastructure, commercial, residential, healthcare, education and renewable energy developments, the business works with a diverse portfolio of public and private sector clients throughout the UK and Europe.

This is an exciting opportunity to work on complex, high-profile projects while developing your career within a collaborative and technically respected team.

Your new role

As a Senior Environmental Noise Consultant, you will lead and deliver a broad range of environmental noise, vibration and acoustics projects from proposal stage through to completion. Working as part of a multidisciplinary team, you will provide expert technical advice, manage client relationships and contribute to the continued growth of the consultancy's acoustics offering.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Delivering environmental noise, vibration and building acoustics assessments.
  • Undertaking site surveys and analysing acoustic data using industry-standard software and equipment.
  • Producing high-quality technical reports and developing practical mitigation solutions.
  • Managing project budgets, programmes and resource allocation.
  • Leading complex projects and coordinating multidisciplinary project teams.
  • Supporting business development through proposal and tender preparation.
  • Building and maintaining strong client relationships.
  • Providing technical mentoring and support to junior team members.
  • Ensuring compliance with quality, health and safety standards.

What you'll need to succeed

  • A degree in Acoustics, Physics, Audio Technology or a related discipline.
  • Significant experience in environmental noise and vibration consultancy.
  • Strong knowledge of UK legislation, policy and best practice guidance relating to acoustics.
  • Excellent technical report writing and project management skills.
  • Commercial awareness and experience managing client relationships.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder engagement abilities.
  • Membership of the Institute of Acoustics (or a desire to work towards membership) would be beneficial.
  • A full UK driving licence and willingness to travel to project sites when required.
