Are you an experienced Senior Acoustic Consultant looking for your exciting next step?
My client, a leading climate and engineering firm that has operated in the built environment for over five decades, is seeking an experienced Senior Acoustic Consultant to take a leading role across a varied portfolio of UK and international projects.
This Senior Acoustic Consultant position will suit someone who enjoys being trusted with the detail, but also wants to be involved in the bigger picture. You will combine technical judgement with clear communication and practical project management, helping ensure work is robust from the initial assessment through to final reporting.

Duties
- Leading and Delivering a Range of Environmental Noise and Acoustics Projects from Initial Scope through to Completion
- Undertaking Noise Impact Assessments, Acoustic Calculations and Modelling
- Carrying Out and Oversee Environmental Noise and Vibration Surveys
- Producing High-Quality Technical Reports, Assessments and Recommendations
- Developing Practical Noise and Vibration Mitigation Solutions Where Required
- Liaising with Clients, Regulators, Contractors and other Project Stakeholders
- Contributing Acoustic Expertise to Wider Multidisciplinary Projects
- Providing Guidance and Technical Support to More Junior Members of the Team
- Assisting with Project Planning, Fee Proposals and Managing Client Relationships
- Keeping up to Date with Relevant Acoustic Standards, Guidance and Industry Developments

Essential
- A Degree in Acoustics, Engineering, Environmental Science or a Closely Related Subject
- Proven Professional Experience within Environmental and/or Building Acoustics
- Strong Understanding of Environmental Noise Assessment and Acoustic Principles
- Experience using Acoustic Modelling Software and Interpreting Modelling Results
- Confident Producing Technical Reports and Communicating Findings to Clients
- Strong Analytical, Organisational and Problem-Solving Skills
- Comfortable Working Independently while Contributing Positively within a Wider Team
- Full UK Driving Licence
- Full Right to Work in the UK
- Living in or Within a Reasonable Commuting Distance of the London office

Desirable
Desirable experience includes Membership of the Institute of Acoustics (MIOA/FIOA) or working towards membership, alongside experience using acoustic modelling software such as CadnaA, SoundPLAN or NoiseMap. Experience across environmental, architectural/building or infrastructure acoustics would be beneficial, as would previous experience mentoring or supervising junior consultants and managing projects and client relationships.
If you're an experienced Senior Acoustic Consultant who wants to work on varied, technically interesting projects while having the support and resources of an established international consultancy behind you, this could be an excellent next move.
