Job Type: Permanent
Location: This role will be based in our London office with some flexibility to work between the office (ideally 2 days per week) and home. We will discuss what is important to you and balancing this with business requirements during the recruitment process. Salary and benefits: c.£60,000+ (subject to experience), plus competitive bonus, private medical cover, 38 days annual leave, excellent pension, 12x salary life assurance, career breaks, income protection, 3x volunteering days and much more.

Joining our Individual Annuity Pricing team, you’ll gain hands-on exposure across our Lifetime and Fixed-Term Annuity products, combining market insight, customer behaviour and actuarial analysis to help shape how we compete and grow.
It’s a role with plenty of breadth and opportunity to make an impact. You’ll analyse how our products are performing, understand what’s happening across the market and turn complex data into meaningful commercial insight. You’ll also contribute to the development of our pricing approach, assumptions, tools and products, building both your technical expertise and broader commercial understanding as your career develops.
Key Responsibilities
You'll play an important role in helping us understand performance, respond to the market and make well-informed pricing decisions. Here are some of the key responsibilities you’ll undertake:
- Analyse pricing competitiveness and market insight, identifying opportunities to balance customer value, competitiveness and profitability
- Produce pricing MI and turn data into clear commercial insight and recommendations
- Implement pricing changes within production environments, ensuring accuracy and appropriate controls
- Support the development and review of pricing bases and assumptions
- Contribute to the ongoing development and enhancement of our Lifetime and Fixed-Term Annuity products
- Undertake pricing calculations and analyse proposition, market and business data to support decision-making
- Make recommendations to senior colleagues based on your analysis and emerging market insight
- Identify and implement opportunities to improve our tools, processes and overall pricing capability
- Collaborate with colleagues across the business, developing your understanding of how pricing decisions support our wider commercial ambitions
What are we looking for?

We’re looking for someone with strong actuarial foundations, commercial curiosity and the appetite to continue developing.
We’d love to hear from you if you have:
- Part-qualified actuarial status, with relevant insurance experience and a commitment to achieving full qualification, which we’ll support you with
- Experience and a good understanding of pricing within a retail flow business; individual annuity pricing experience is particularly valuable
- An understanding of key pricing metrics and relevant regulatory frameworks, including Solvency II and IFRS
- Strong analytical and quantitative skills, coupled with a practical problem-solving mindset
- The ability to turn analysis and complex information into clear insights and recommendations
- Strong working knowledge of tools such as Excel, VBA and Power BI
- Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the confidence to build relationships across different teams
- A proactive and curious approach, with a desire to continue building both your technical and commercial knowledge
