Senior Actuarial Product Development Manager (FIS Global)

About the Role
As a Senior Actuarial Product Development Manager, you’ll play a critical role in shaping how global clients leverage the Prophet system—FIS’s actuarial modelling framework.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Support global clients in using Prophet models, particularly Asset Liability Strategy (ALS) libraries.
- Define and own the code architecture for new Prophet model features while ensuring seamless integration across financial systems.
- Develop actuarial modelling features for existing and new Prophet libraries.
About the Team
Join a dedicated team of Prophet library developers who:
- Are responsible for a range of global actuarial Prophet libraries.
- Assist with designing and testing new function enhancements.
- Act as subject matter experts for questions from internal and external clients regarding Prophet.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead design and development of new actuarial modelling features across Prophet libraries.
- Collaborate with clients on ALS libraries to meet precise technical requirements.
- Review peers’ actuarial code to maintain accuracy, integrity, and regulatory alignment.
- Ensure product deliverables are:
- Meets all requirements.
- Thoroughly tested and documented.
- Ready for client deployment.
- Act as a go-to expert for internal team members on Prophet libraries.
- Work closely with other actuarial teams to deliver holistic financial, risk, and reporting solutions.

Requirements
Essential:
✓ Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in Mathematics, Statistics, or a science-based discipline. ✓ At least 10 years’ experience in:
- A life insurance department (policy design, financial planning, regulatory reporting).
- An actuarial consultancy (software implementation consultancy). ✓ 5+ years of expertise with the FIS Prophet system. ✓ Deep understanding of the ALSA (Asset-Liability Strategy Analysis) library, and experience implementing changes using Prophet’s extended formula functionality. ✓ Qualified/Part-qualified Actuary with:
- Strong experience with regulatory and industry standards in at least one major market.
- Knowledge of IFRS17, GAAP, or local equivalents. ✓ Background in insurance or financial services, with experience navigating regulatory debates and technical risks.
✓ Proven ability to thrive as part of a large, diverse, and global team.
✓ Strong analytical, problem-solving, and documentation skills, and a high-level technical aptitude.
Bonus (Nice-to-Have!):
🔹 Experience with:
- Advanced Prophet modelling techniques such as:
- New business processing.
- Calculation looping.
- Rebasement reformulations.
- Goal-seeking models.
- Nested dynamic structures, modules, and stochastic modelling.
- Optimising performance by identifying bottlenecks in Prophet (e.g., formulaic applications, efficient looping).
- Technical applications of Generative AI (Gen AI) in actuarial modelling. 🔹 Familiarity with programming and software architecture, especially at scale. 🔹 Understanding of cloud infrastructure and related technologies (though not mandatory). 🔹 Awareness of emerging regulatory and risk challenges impacting the financial services sector.
