Lloyd's is seeking to recruit a Senior Actuary (Capital Oversight), you'll provide independent challenge and oversight of syndicate capital, influencing decisions that support a robust and well-capitalised market.
What you'll do
You'll lead reviews across:
- Premium, reserve, market, credit and operational risk
- Capital model assumptions, methodology and validation
- Diversification and dependency assessments
- Compliance with Lloyd’s Capital Principles
Your work will include:
- Annual capital reviews
- Major model changes
- Deep dives and governance reviews
- IMAP assessments
- New entrant reviews
- Market-wide thematic projects
You'll work closely with managing agents and actuarial teams, delivering clear, evidence-based conclusions and presenting recommendations to senior governance forums.
As a senior member of the team, you'll lead projects, coach colleagues and provide technical guidance. You'll help shape our approach to capital oversight while building trusted relationships across the market and within Lloyd’s.

What you'll bring
- Qualified actuary with significant capital modelling experience
- Strong non-life insurance expertise
- Knowledge of actuarial techniques and capital regulation
- Experience reviewing and challenging complex analysis
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
- Proven ability to lead work and support others
- Proficiency in Excel and SharePoint
