About the Role

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a highly organised and motivated Senior Administrative Officer to join the Theatres and Anaesthetics team at UHCW. You will play a key role in supporting the smooth and efficient running of the service, providing high-quality administrative support, coordinating patient pathways, managing clinics and appointments, and acting as a key point of contact for patients and healthcare professionals.

We are looking for an experienced administrator with excellent communication, organisational, and IT skills, who can work effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a high standard of customer service and attention to detail.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain both manual and electronic filing systems and databases, as required by the department and Trust policies, ensuring all documents are accurately and appropriately archived.
  • Collate, input, and monitor departmental data and information to assist with the production of reports for the department.
  • Maintain an efficient and comprehensive administrative service for room bookings within outpatient areas, providing support to the departments and other team members as requested.
  • Support the implementation and maintenance of efficient office management system/procedures to enable the department to optimise their patient care services.
  • Maintain a compilation of monitoring reports in respect of key performance indicators in Outpatients.
  • Assist with training new team members in Trust operational systems and department procedures.
  • Prioritise daily tasks to achieve timescales set.
  • Provide appropriate cover in the absence of other members of the team.
  • Continually contribute to patient and business improvement Agendas.
  • Share ideas for potential service improvement.
  • Utilise relevant Trust IT systems, as determined by the role, ensure all relevant patient data is collected and input accurately in line with Trust guidelines.
