Are you an experienced administrator with strong team leadership skills who enjoys keeping busy services organised, responsive and running smoothly?
We are looking for a Senior Admin Team Lead to join our Children’s Autism Assessment Service and play a key role in supporting the delivery of timely, quality diagnostic assessments for children and families across Bristol, North Somerset and South Gloucestershire.
In this role, you will provide day-to-day supervision to the administrative team, helping colleagues to deliver consistent standards of service while ensuring that waiting lists, referrals, appointments, records, data and performance information are managed effectively. You will be confident prioritising competing demands, resolving issues and adapting to changing service needs, while maintaining a calm, professional and supportive approach.
You will work closely with children, young people, parents and carers, health professionals and other organisations, handling sensitive information and potentially challenging situations with professionalism and empathy. You will also contribute to recruitment, staff development, performance management, service reporting, audit and continuous improvement.
This is an opportunity to use your administrative and people-management experience in a service that makes a meaningful difference to children and families. If you are organised, approachable and motivated by delivering a high-quality service, we would welcome your application.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
