About the Role
We are seeking a Senior Bank Reconciliations Administrator to join our CASS team. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced reconciliations professional with a strong understanding of FCA Client Assets (CASS) requirements to play a key role in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of client money reconciliations.
Working as part of a collaborative and fast-paced team, you will be responsible for the timely production of external bank reconciliations, investigating and resolving reconciliation breaks, and helping to ensure the firm's ongoing compliance with FCA CASS regulations. You will also act as a subject matter expert within the team, providing guidance, support, and training to colleagues while working closely with stakeholders across Operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Produce accurate and timely external client money bank reconciliations in accordance with FCA CASS requirements.
- Complete external firm bank reconciliations and associated reporting to a high standard.
- Investigate, record, and escalate reconciliation breaks and outstanding items.
- Work closely with teams across the business to resolve discrepancies and improve reconciliation processes.
- Influence and support operational teams to ensure the timely clearance of outstanding reconciliation items.
- Produce daily sweep and prudent segregation calculations in line with internal procedures and regulatory requirements.
- Support the maintenance and enhancement of reconciliation procedures, templates, and process documentation.
- Provide guidance, mentoring, and cross-training to colleagues within the CASS function.
- Assist in developing team knowledge to ensure robust holiday and business continuity cover.
- Maintain bank statement downloads, filing, and reconciliation records.
- Process stopped cheques in accordance with established procedures.
- Support the annual CASS audit and respond to information requests as required.
- Effectively manage multiple priorities while maintaining exceptional levels of accuracy and attention to detail.

About You
You will be a highly organised and detail-oriented reconciliations professional with experience working in a regulated financial services environment. You will enjoy investigating issues, collaborating with stakeholders, and driving timely resolutions while maintaining a strong focus on control and regulatory compliance.
Skills & Experience
- Experience completing bank reconciliations using a reconciliation system or tool.
- Strong understanding of reconciliation processes and controls.
- Knowledge of FCA Client Assets (CASS) rules, particularly CASS 7.
- Proven ability to identify, investigate, and resolve reconciliation breaks.
- Strong stakeholder management skills with the confidence to communicate across all levels of the business.
- Ability to influence decision-making and improve operational processes.
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities and deadlines.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- High levels of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Proactive, self-motivated, and adaptable approach to work.
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.

Qualifications
- GCSEs (or equivalent), including Mathematics and English.
- Additional financial services qualifications would be advantageous.
- Relevant experience within Bank Reconciliations, CASS Operations, Client Money, or a similar Financial Services environment.
