About The Role
As a Senior Administrator you will ensure a high quality and responsive administrative function meets service delivery requirements.
You will provide support on day to day operations, offering support and guidance on more complex administration tasks, monitoring workload and ensuring quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate and participate in all administrative functions to ensure the smooth and effective running of the service, monitoring quality standards for the team through auditing and reporting where required.
- Provide effective line management of staff to ensure performance targets and agreed outcomes are met by the service. Monitor and oversee administration provision, identifying learning and development opportunities to improve service delivery.
- Act as first point of contact for key stakeholders, ensuring administration is dealt with efficiently and meets quality standards and lead by example on good working practices.
- Recruitment and support of Service Delivery Apprentices including liaison with educational providers to support their progression through the apprenticeship scheme.
- Responsible for the induction for new starters, ensuring mandatory training is completed, including training on bespoke case management system and support with access to e-learning modules.
- Ensure compliance with Health and Safety & fire records in accordance with VS Policies and procedures including premises risk assessments, monitoring and any identified remedial action.
- Data quality management for the wider team through analysis of audit's and monitoring compliance ensuring all confidential and sensitive data is stored securely in accordance with VS Data Protection Policy and compliance with GDPR.
- Comply and keep up to date with VS Data Protection Policy, GDPR data protection legislation, confidentiality and organisational policies and procedures, as well as all legislation connected to your work.
- Management of VS Assets including mobile phones, computers, photocopiers etc.
- Work as part of a team to ensure that all outcomes and KPI measures are met.
- Ensuring all confidential and sensitive data is stored securely in accordance with VS Data Protection Policy and compliance with GDPR.

About You
Ideally, you will have experience working within a client focused service and a good understanding and knowledge of office systems.
You Will Need
- Effective verbal and written communication and numerical skills.
- Experience working in an administrative setting
- Experience of providing administrative support to a team
- Understanding and knowledge of the requirements relating to confidentiality and data protection.
- Understanding and knowledge of equal opportunities and diversity.
- Ability to prioritise own workload and deal with competing demands in an organised and methodical manner.
- Good IT skills and experience of using all packages in the standard Microsoft Office suite and case management systems/databases.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate sensitively and effectively both verbally and in writing with a wide range of individuals and audiences.
- Ability to work on own initiative and with minimal supervision to achieve deadlines.
- Strong record keeping skills with a focus on quality and accuracy.
