About Us
Thermal Insulation Contractors Association (TICA) is the Trade Association representing the Thermal Insulation Industry as well as being the sole UK Training Provider for Thermal Insulation Apprenticeships. TICA's National Training Centre is based in Darlington and includes a large state of the art 2-story workshop and facilities that welcome hundreds of Apprentices each year to complete block release training for their Apprenticeship.
Position Overview
To coordinate and administer training activities, compliance processes, quality assurance requirements, audits, and associated record-keeping. The role will ensure that training delivery, certification, audit activity, and compliance systems operate efficiently and meet awarding organisation, regulatory, and internal quality standards.
The postholder will work closely with employers, delegates, trainers, auditors, and internal departments to support the delivery of high-quality training and compliance services.
Person Specification
Essential
- Previous administration experience.
- Excellent organisational and planning skills.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Experience maintaining records and databases.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications including Outlook, Excel, Word, and Teams.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Desirable
- Experience within a training, education, or membership organisation.
- Knowledge of audit processes and compliance requirements.
- Experience producing management reports and performance data.
Duties Include
Training Administration
- Coordinate training course bookings from enquiry through to completion.
- Maintain training schedules, course calendars, trainer allocations, and venue arrangements.
- Register delegates and apprentices on relevant programmes and qualifications.
- Produce joining instructions, training confirmations, and course documentation.
- Support with arranging and carrying out apprentice and employer progress reviews.
- Support administration and quality assurance of skill cards.
- Maintain accurate learner records and training databases.
- Monitor attendance, completion rates, and certification processes.
- Liaise with employers regarding training requirements and course availability.
- Issue certificates and maintain certification tracking records.
- Prepare management information for senior leadership meetings and board reports.
Training & Audit Coordination
- Schedule audits and communicate requirements to relevant recipients.
- Prepare audit documentation and supporting records.
- Track audit findings, recommendations, and corrective actions.
- Maintain audit action plans and monitor progress against deadlines.
- Ensure audit records are maintained in accordance with quality management requirements.
- Prepare management information for senior leadership meetings and board reports.
