Senior Adult Care Lawyer – Locum – Midlands – Fully Remote

Vivid Resourcing are working with a local authority in the Midlands who are looking to appoint an experienced Senior Adult Care Lawyer on a locum basis.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Adult Social Care Lawyer to join a local authority legal team, providing specialist legal advice on a range of complex adult social care matters. The role offers fully remote working, making it an attractive opportunity for locums seeking flexibility.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Advising on complex adult social care and community care matters.
  • Providing specialist legal advice under the Care Act 2014 and relevant legislation.
  • Advising on mental capacity, safeguarding, and deprivation of liberty matters.
  • Supporting social care teams with legal issues relating to care provision, assessments, and funding.
  • Managing a varied caseload and providing clear, practical advice to internal stakeholders.
  • Working closely with social workers, service managers, and senior officers.
  • Supporting the wider legal team with specialist adult social care advice as required.

Requirements:

  • Qualified Solicitor, Barrister, or Legal Executive.
  • Strong experience in adult social care and community care law.
  • Previous local authority experience is highly desirable.
  • Ability to manage complex matters independently and provide commercially and practically focused legal advice.
