Senior Adviser | London | Family Office - Real Estate
We are retained by a single family office (SFO) to identify a Senior Advisor to the Principal and senior leadership team. This is a part-time, non-executive appointment for which private equity and fundraising experience is essential.
The SFO manages assets across Europe from its London office and is scaling through third-party capital as it builds towards a leading pan-European real estate platform.
The successful candidate will have raised institutional capital for a real estate business in their own right, understand the rhythm of a full investment cycle, and bring the credibility of having done so before to their engagement with the Principal and the team.

Key responsibilities:
- Sit as an independent board member, raising the quality of the senior leadership team's commercial thinking.
- Attend weekly team calls (c. one hour), offering perspective on strategy, fundraising and operational decisions.
- Participate in investment committee meetings.
- Act as a sounding board on matters of strategy, capital raising and market positioning.

Profile:
- Direct, personal experience of raising capital for a real estate business, ideally through more than one cycle.
- An entrepreneurial investment approach rather than a purely institutional mindset.
- Credibility to act as an adviser to the Principal and senior leadership team.
- A well-developed real estate network, the ability to open doors with LPs, partners, investment banks, advisors and potential hires.
- Comfortable with light-touch, high-frequency involvement — weekly calls rather than quarterly set-piece board meetings.
- Sector experience in logistics or industrial real estate is preferable.
- Discretion and the diplomatic skill to operate within a principal-led business at a pivotal moment in its evolution.
