Play a key role in shaping strategic and investment decisions for one of the world's largest integrated mining developments.

Own and develop the core economic model that informs major commercial, project and shareholder decisions across Simandou.

Based in London, collaborating with a global network of internal teams, shareholders and external partners.

We’re Finding Better Ways™ to provide materials the world needs, now and in the future. Our values – care, courage and curiosity – guide how we work and how we treat each other.

About the role

We are looking for a Senior Advisor – Business Analysis to join the Simandou team in London, helping deliver high quality financial and commercial insights that support strategic, investment and value-based decisions.

Reporting to the Senior Manager – Business Analysis, Simandou, you will own the Simandou financial model and provide a clear economic view across a complex partnership and ownership structure. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys solving complex business challenges, influencing senior decision-makers and contributing to a world-class mining development.

What you’ll be doing

  • Own and develop the Simandou financial model, ensuring integrity, accuracy and alignment with project and commercial assumptions.
  • Lead investment evaluation, business case development and scenario analysis to support key strategic decisions.
  • Assess the value impact of changes to capital, schedule, operating plans and commercial arrangements.
  • Identify risks, opportunities and value optimisation levers across the project lifecycle.
  • Prepare clear economic analysis, insights and recommendations for senior management and investment forums.
  • Partner with Finance, Commercial, Projects, Studies and Strategy teams to support robust decision-making.
  • Challenge assumptions and test alternative scenarios to improve value outcomes and risk awareness.
  • Support engagement with shareholders and external partners by providing consistent economic analysis and insights.

About you

We’re looking for someone whose experience aligns with the key requirements below. You do not need to meet every “helpful for success” item to apply. If you bring relevant experience and are excited by the opportunity, we encourage you to submit an application.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
