Our client is the asset management of an international Swiss bank in Zurich. We are looking for a tax professional (m, f, d) as

Senior Advisor Corporate Tax & Tax Compliance | Fund Investments

Tasks

  • Ensure AEOI and also US tax compliance for management of private equity funds with appropriate consideration of risk, operational and tax issues
  • Ongoing analysis of tax legislation and identification of impact on investments for portfolio management and investors
  • Analysis of distribution provisions in fund agreements and distribution allocation for investors
  • Analysis of international tax rules for PFICs or CFCs and tax reporting with respect to Forms 926, 8865, 8621, 5471 etc.
  • Analysis of debt and equity, income of a tax-exempt client (UBTI) and other tax analyses required for private equity funds
  • Analysis of clients' investments with regard to CRS and also US tax implications
  • Investment-related advice to clients on the choice of US tax systems
  • Single point of contact on all types of questions for internal and external stakeholders
  • Monitoring of newsletters and directives from the tax authorities
  • In cooperation with IT, implementation of regulatory changes in tools, processes and systems
  • Conduct trainings with the aim of explaining US tax concepts for investment practice
  • Collaboration in global tax projects

Requirements

  • Master's degree in Law, Accounting or Taxation
  • Qualified as a tax professional, or on track to become one
  • Professional experience in asset management with corporate tax, international tax, AEOI and US tax ideally with private equity funds
  • Exposure to international tax matters and tax compliance
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Extensive experience with calculating taxable income and resource allocations for private equity funds
  • Ability to coordinate tax-related projects
  • Experience preparing and reviewing tax returns and Schedule K-1
  • Time and project management skills
  • Ability to work in a dynamic environment and transfer knowledge and experience to the team
  • Team player and team orientation
  • Eloquent communication
  • IT flair
  • MS Office, Excel
