Location: UK/EMEA/APAC (flexible/remote; customer travel as required)
Reporting To: ES&A Manager - EMEA/APAC
Job Summary
The Senior Advisor is a business-outcome-focused consulting leader within WWT Engineering Services. You will shape and win opportunities alongside the Principal Advisor and Sales, then ensure delivery excellence by guiding engineering and architecture teams to execute against clearly defined outcomes, scope, and success measures. The role blends presales leadership, solution design, delivery governance, and practice development to drive transformational results across technology and organisational change.
Key Responsibilities
Presales & Solution Leadership
- Lead customer discovery, outcome definition, and value hypothesis shaping; translate business drivers into feasible architectures, delivery approaches, and investment cases (TCO/ROI), working in lock-step with the Principal Advisor.
- Orchestrate solution strategy, estimates, risk and dependency analysis, and the creation of SoWs/proposals with clear scope, deliverables, and acceptance criteria; ensure proposals balance customer value with delivery and commercial risk.
- Facilitate workshops, PoVs/PoCs, and ATC-enabled evaluations to evidence approach and de-risk decisions prior to commitment.
Delivery Excellence & Governance
- Provide day-to-day solution ownership during execution, ensuring fidelity to the sold intent and measurable outcomes; partner through the Two-in-the-Box model with PMO for planning, RAID management, change control, and stakeholder comms.
- Guide architects and engineers across discovery, design, build, transition, and operate phases; ensure methodical hand-offs, quality, and standards adherence.
- Maintain continuity from presales to delivery by supporting or deputising the Principal Advisor as needed to preserve context and reduce delivery risk.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
