About The Role

- Lead and support a team of in-house Presenting Officers, coordinating assignments for external advocates and ensuring high-quality representation at statutory committee hearings.
- Take responsibility for the effective allocation and management of advocacy resources, maintaining consistently high standards across complex Fitness to Practise proceedings.
- Undertake direct advocacy in complex cases where required, with occasional appearances in the High Court, providing expert representation and strategic legal advice.
- Work collaboratively with internal teams and external advocates to ensure cases are prepared and presented to the highest professional standards.
Applications are welcomed from qualified Barristers with a minimum of 5 years' experience and a strong background in professional regulation or a comparable regulatory environment.
This is a 12-month fixed-term maternity cover position, with hybrid working requiring 1-2 days in the London office each week and the remainder working remotely.
