๐ Contract Opportunity | 45 Hours Per Week (Daily Paid)
The Role
Our client is seeking an experienced Senior Agent to play a key leadership role on a major highways infrastructure project in Norfolk. Reporting directly to the Construction Manager, you will support Early Contractor Involvement (ECI) activities during the design and planning phase before leading construction operations through delivery and project handover.
This is an excellent opportunity for a construction professional with strong highways or civil engineering experience to join a complex infrastructure programme involving new carriageway construction, structures, drainage, utility diversions, and stakeholder coordination.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead by example, promoting a strong safety-first culture.
- Manage site surveys and support buildability reviews during the ECI phase.
- Provide construction leadership and oversee delivery activities within your discipline.
- Manage engineering teams, subcontractors, and suppliers.
- Support planning, procurement, and subcontract management activities.
- Monitor programmes, budgets, productivity, and forecast costs.
- Ensure works are delivered safely, to specification, on time, and within budget.
- Oversee quality assurance, temporary works, and compliance requirements.
- Support project handover and close-out activities.

Essential Experience
- Minimum 7 years' construction delivery experience, including at least 3 years in a management role such as Agent or Sub-Agent.
- Experience working within a Principal Contractor environment.
- Strong understanding of construction techniques, engineering principles, and industry standards.
- Knowledge of Temporary Works procedures.
- Experience managing temporary works.
- Understanding of construction contracts and commercial processes.
- Strong IT skills, including Microsoft Office applications.

Essential Qualifications
- Degree or HND in Civil Engineering (or equivalent).
- Valid CSCS Card.
- SMSTS or equivalent health and safety qualification.
Desirable Qualifications
- Temporary Works Coordinator certification.
- Appointed Person (Lifting Operations) qualification.
- Professional membership or working towards chartered status.
