Locations
This role may be located in one of the following locations: Birmingham, Blackpool, Leeds, Manchester, Newcastle Upon Tyne, and Sheffield.
For candidates requesting to work in Newcastle, the role will initially be based at Benton Park View and then move to 1 Pilgrim Place in Newcastle city centre by the end of 2027.
For candidates requesting to work in Sheffield, roles will initially be based at King’s Court and then move to 1 West Bar by early 2028.

We have six Senior Agile Delivery Manager roles across three different areas of DWP Digital:
Working Age Services
Working Age Services are at the forefront of the Department’s change and innovation agenda, delivering ground-breaking solutions and approaches driven by product and end user need. Our teams are responsible for delivery of welfare reform to claimants, landlords, and DWP agents across a number of departmental change programmes and critical national infrastructure.
Data & Analytics
Insights and Analytics is one of the key pillars of Data and Analytics (D&A). We provide the Data and Tooling to the DWP Analyst Community, who help DWP Colleagues and government make informed data-driven decisions for the benefit of citizens. Our goal is to modernise and join up services for citizens and provide data for better decision-making.
Later Life
Within Later Life, we are modernising key benefit services that support people of pension age, helping them access financial assistance when they need it most. You will lead one or more teams to deliver key outcomes, ensuring our modernised services are user-centred, scalable, stable, and resilient, while continuously improving how teams deliver value.

Job Description
You will lead the delivery of large-scale digital services, helping multidisciplinary teams deliver better outcomes for users while supporting organisational priorities and transformation goals.
You Will:
- Lead multidisciplinary teams through complex delivery challenges, translating strategic objectives into achievable outcomes and deliverable increments.
- Own planning, forecasting, and dependency management across a complex landscape, balancing agility with the need for effective coordination and delivery confidence.
- Apply governance proportionately, providing transparency, managing risk, and enabling informed decision-making without creating unnecessary bureaucracy.
- Build trusted relationships with stakeholders at all levels, aligning priorities, influencing decisions, and managing competing demands.
- Create the conditions for high-performing teams by removing barriers, enabling continuous improvement, and fostering a culture of learning, inclusion, and accountability.
- Coach and support colleagues, strengthening delivery capability, and contributing to the evolution of agile delivery practices across the organisation.
- Lead through ambiguity and change, helping teams adapt, navigate complexity, and deliver sustainable transformation outcomes.

Pay for this role is from £57,946 to £77,895. The maximum salary for the grade is £68,205, however, a Digital Allowance of up to £9,690 per annum is available for exceptional candidates. Digital Allowance is non-salary and non-pensionable and is classed as a temporary allowance. It is reviewed annually where it could be retained, amended, or removed.
