Job Description
Senior AI Consultant
ROLE
This role focuses on designing and delivering AI, data science, and advanced analytics solutions using the Microsoft Azure technology stack. You will work on projects spanning AI, machine learning, and data platforms for customers, taking responsibility from problem definition through to production delivery.
Alongside hands-on technical work, you will help guide technical direction, support the development of others, and contribute to both internal and external communities. The role suits someone who enjoys solving complex problems, working closely with stakeholders, and continually developing their skills as technologies evolve.
This is a client-facing position, so the ideal candidate must be comfortable speaking with clients and some occasional travel.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Delivering projects that utilise the Microsoft Azure technology stack across domains such as AI, Data Science & Machine Learning & advanced analytics
- Contributing to the creation of new AI- and data science-based offerings based on maintaining an awareness of ongoing developments in the AI field
- Satisfying the expectations and requirements of customers, both internal and external
- Supporting others in their professional development
- Contributing to the internal and external community

PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE
In order to be as effective as possible in this role, you should be comfortable utilising the following capabilities and experience in both client-facing and internal projects
- Industry experience in delivering AI and or DS & ML solutions, with a good grounding in all associated areas
- Running discovery, solution design and other consultative workshops
- Managing technical and non-technical client stakeholders as part of projects and forming lasting relationships
- Contributing to early-stage client engagement and presales activities, e.g. technical demonstrations
- Good understanding of project management activities, e.g. risk management, time-tracking
- Active engagement in professional mentorship as both mentor (able to take and act on constructive feedback) and mentee (critically evaluate performance of colleagues to support career development)
- Proven written and spoken English with outstanding interpersonal skills
- Ability and attitude towards investigating and sharing new technologies
- Strategic and operational decision-making skills
- Ideally degree educated - computer science, data analysis, AI & Machine Learning etc
- Microsoft certified (nice to have)
Qualifications
TECHNICAL SKILLS
People’s skills vary and that’s great because the role varies. You should be comfortable with at least 3 of the core technologies below and have an interest in at least 4 others within the core/supporting/principles. Current Microsoft / Databricks certifications are useful but not mandatory – we’ll help you get those!
