About The Role
You will join the dominAI team as a Senior AI Engineer, building production software that integrates Large Language Models and broader AI capabilities into a command-and-control platform used by defense operators. You will design, implement, and deploy reliable features, evaluate emerging AI patterns such as RAG, agentic workflows, and LLM orchestration, and put them into practice. You will write clean, maintainable TypeScript and/or Python code, mentor teammates on AI technologies, and champion tools and practices that speed up delivery. You will stay close to product managers and domain experts to turn requirements into scalable solutions that work in demanding conditions.
Requirements
- 3+ years professionally developing products involving AI or LLMs
- Proven experience deploying AI in a production software environment
- Deep understanding of AI architectures and patterns: RAG, prompt engineering, fine-tuning, evals, and LLM orchestration
- Strong generalist software engineering background with proficiency in TypeScript and/or Python
- Ability to research complex technical topics and apply findings to production-ready solutions
- Experience mentoring or teaching others in a technical capacity
- Strong problem-solving instincts and appetite for hard challenges
- Must be able to obtain and maintain Security Vetting to at least SC level
- Willingness to attend the Shoreditch office at least once a week

Responsibilities
- Design, build, and deploy production-grade software that integrates AI to solve complex user problems
- Research and evaluate emerging AI architecture patterns such as RAG, agentic workflows, evals, fine-tuning, and LLM orchestration
- Collaborate with Product Managers and teammates to translate requirements into technical solutions
- Mentor and upskill engineers on AI technologies and best practices
- Embed agentic engineering tools and practices into daily workflows
- Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code in TypeScript and/or Python
- Ensure the reliability and scalability of AI-powered features in production
- Stay current with the AI landscape and help shape technical direction
