About The Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior AI Engineer to join our Workday Practice at Kainos. In this pivotal role, you will serve as a bridge between data science and software engineering, focusing on productionizing AI and machine learning solutions that enhance our Workday offerings. Your primary responsibility will be to develop, deploy, and maintain scalable AI models that deliver tangible value to our clients. Working closely with data scientists, software engineers, and product teams, you will ensure that AI-driven features are reliable, efficient, and seamlessly integrated into existing systems. Your expertise will contribute to the continuous improvement of our AI capabilities, supporting the company's mission to deliver innovative digital solutions that make a real impact.

The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in software development and AI deployment, with a focus on creating production-ready solutions. A bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field is required, with advanced degrees preferred. Proven experience in deploying AI/ML models in cloud environments such as AWS, Azure, or GCP is essential. Candidates should have proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Java, or C++, and be familiar with MLOps practices including CI/CD pipelines, model versioning, and monitoring. Experience with containerization tools like Docker and orchestration platforms such as Kubernetes is highly desirable. Additionally, candidates should have a solid understanding of data engineering, data pipelines, and enterprise data integration. Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within agile teams are also important.
Responsibilities
- Designing and implementing scalable AI solutions that integrate seamlessly with Workday systems
- Developing and optimizing machine learning models, ensuring their performance and reliability in production environments
- Collaborating with data scientists to translate research prototypes into robust, deployable solutions
- Managing the deployment process using cloud-native tools, monitoring model performance, and implementing improvements as needed
- Building and maintaining data pipelines to support AI initiatives
- Contributing to establishing best practices for MLOps, including automation, version control, and continuous integration
- Participating in code reviews, documentation, and knowledge-sharing activities to foster a culture of continuous learning and innovation within the team
