Senior AI Engineer

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Senior AI Engineer based in United Kingdom.

As a Senior AI Engineer, you’ll build and evolve products that are integrated directly into partner platforms and supported by robust backend systems.

You’ll work end-to-end across TypeScript/React and Golang, with the opportunity to bring depth in one area while developing expertise across the stack.

AI-assisted development is already central to the engineering workflow, so you’ll be expected to use agentic coding tools confidently in production.

The role combines hands-on engineering with architectural influence across APIs, distributed systems, cloud infrastructure, and product functionality.

You’ll contribute to systems where reliability and correctness are critical, including wallet-related flows and certified, audited game environments.

Working within an autonomous and collaborative product team, you’ll have significant freedom to make technical decisions and improve engineering practices.

This is an opportunity for a senior engineer who wants to help shape both the technology and the future of AI-first software development.

Accountabilities

  • Deliver end-to-end functionality across a TypeScript/React frontend and Golang backend.
  • Build and maintain products designed for integration into third-party platforms and partner ecosystems.
  • Develop and improve wallet systems and related flows, with a strong emphasis on correctness, reliability, and security.
  • Build and operate game-related systems within certified and audited environments.
  • Design, implement, and maintain APIs using GraphQL, gRPC, REST, and other appropriate patterns for internal applications and external integrations.
  • Contribute to the architecture and technical evolution of a young, cloud-based platform running primarily on AWS.
  • Design and develop reliable event-driven and distributed systems capable of handling concurrency effectively.
  • Work with SQL and NoSQL databases, including technologies such as PostgreSQL, Redis, and DynamoDB.
  • Use AI-powered development tools as a core part of the software delivery workflow, while applying strong senior-level judgment to review, validate, and verify AI-generated code.
  • Help define and improve AI-assisted engineering practices across the wider development team.
  • Participate in code reviews, knowledge sharing, and technical discussions to support the growth of other engineers.
  • Collaborate within an autonomous, fast-paced product team while working remotely across European time zones or from a designated office environment.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
