Senior AI Engineer | London, Onsite | Up to £150,000 + Equity
I’m working with a fast-growing, venture-backed AI company building software for major financial institutions. Their platform turns complex, manual workflows into AI-powered systems used across global teams.
They’re looking for an engineer who has shipped AI applications into production and wants to take ownership of the infrastructure behind them. You’ll work directly with the founders and build across AI agents, RAG pipelines, evaluation frameworks and the backend services that support them.

What you’ll be doing:
- Designing and deploying agent-based systems and RAG pipelines
- Building reliable backend services and APIs, ideally with Python
- Developing evaluation and monitoring for AI features in production
- Working with data pipelines, relational databases, Redis and background workers
- Contributing across the stack where the product needs it
- Helping set engineering standards and mentoring less experienced developers
What they’re looking for:
- 5+ years in software engineering
- Hands-on experience deploying AI applications to production
- Strong backend engineering skills; Python, Django or FastAPI are especially relevant
- Experience with cloud infrastructure, Docker, Kubernetes and CI/CD
- A practical approach to performance, reliability and security

This is a high-intensity, onsite role with shifting priorities and significant ownership. It will suit someone who enjoys building quickly, solving difficult problems and working closely with founders.
